GAIS offers great flexibility with regard to language. Surveys can be sent out in a wide range of different languages, and the individual user can change the language during the process.
Language column determines the language of the invitation
When you create your data file, you must have a column that specifies the language for each employee. The survey will then be sent to each participant in the selected language. Please note that the invitation email to participants will automatically be in the language you have selected when sending the survey. Each participant can then go in and change the language if they wish.
NOTE: If you do not actively define a language, the GAIS survey and the subsequent report will automatically be in the language your computer is set to. However, you can change the language at any point in the process to one of the other languages that GAIS offers.
These are the languages GAIS offers
GAIS offers the following languages, and we recommend using the specified language codes:
Each participant can change the language
The individual participant completing the survey can choose the language they wish to use for their personal survey and report. This means you can conduct a company survey where the responses are made in several different languages. You will receive the company report in the language you have selected. The personal report is received by the individual employee in the language they have chosen.
You can change the language at the top and bottom of all pages on GAIS.
Invitation texts in different languages
When you create your survey and need to write your invitation text for the participants, you will see that you have the option to write an invitation for each of your selected languages.
There is a pre-written template text where you can choose to simply fill in the company name and other details so that the text fits your company. You can also choose to delete the entire text and write your own.
Questions from the GAIS question catalog are translated
Extra questions from the GAIS question catalog are translated if employees complete the survey in one of the languages that GAIS offers.
Self-formulated questions are not translated
Please note that if you have formulated your own questions for the survey, these will not be translated. You must translate these yourself into the selected languages. Read here how.
Recommendations only in Danish and English
Please note that the recommendations that employees and managers are presented with in connection with the report are only available in Danish, English, and in some cases Swedish. The e-learning programs are only in Danish. Therefore, if an employee takes the GAIS syrvey in, for example, Norwegian, he/she will not be presented with recommendations and programs.
But he/she can change the language to Danish and will then receive personal recommendations and programs.
