Questionnaire Structure

The questionnaire is based on a series of mandatory questions covering four dimensions of leadership, each of which is important when it comes to employee job satisfaction.

In addition, there is a catalog of optional questions. The content of these has been compiled based on thorough research and with the inclusion of questions from proven surveys.

The four leadership dimensions with the mandatory questions are:

  • Involvement and Freedom: concerns the experience of freedom and trust from the immediate manager, and about being involved in decisions and changes.
  • Attention and Feedback: concerns the experience of the immediate manager's recognition and feedback, and whether the manager pays attention to the individual needs of employees.
  • Direction and Meaning: concerns the experience of coherence between the workplace's purpose and the employee's own contribution, and about the immediate manager's ability to set clear direction and explicit goals for the work.
  • The Leader as a Role Model: concerns the experience of the immediate manager as fair and trustworthy, and about trust in the manager's way of leading - that is, in their professional leadership skills.
